We are an Investors in People accredited company and our Equality and Diversity Programme is embedded not only in our recruitment policy but also our staff training programmes. We promote a ‘Fair Working Environment’ for all employees and support vocational training and apprenticeships, enabling staff to study for accredited qualifications such as NVQs and specialist training. Since our work takes us daily into people’s homes, we have developed training in specialist areas such as codes of conduct, customer service and safeguarding to ensure that our high standards are upheld at all times.
We have strong environmental values and these too, are reflected in our working practices. We train plumbers in water conservation; we maintain ‘grey water’ harvesting systems, and our engineers have accredited BPEC training in thermal technology, photovoltaic's (PV) and ground/air to air services.
Giving back to the Community
Our people are recruited locally and we provide many opportunities for work placements, apprenticeships and training among young people and the long-term unemployed through our Community Gain Scheme.
