Laker are proud to announce that our new Social Enterprise, Laker Gateway CIC, have been nominated for the SE Potential Award at this years annual Social Enterprise West Midlands Awards! The SE Potential Award is for a start up enterprise that promise a bright future.
The awards, organised by Social Enterprise West Midlands, are to celebrate the achievements of the region’s social enterprises and the 5th Annual SE Awards will be taking place on Thursday 19th November 2015 at Birmingham University to celebrate the great work of social enterprises in the region. Laker Gateway CIC was formed in January this year. We deliver a wide range of repairs, maintenance and construction works and whilst doing so provide trade skills to 16-24 year olds who are not engaged in any training or education and want to learn a trade or gain valuable work experience.
